I find in this area the fall hunting can be the toughest a lot more ground fights and bay ups not as many trees. MInd you it seems like most shooter bears always take you for a good run. Early spring the bears seem to go up quicker with alot less fight'n. The summer bears I don't really know

Because there is no season here to run em, only a few problem bears that get to comfortable around the house.

I used to hunt the Spring hunt in Canada and didn't find the bears that hard to catch and tree in the Spring. I think the summer is the roughest. By July 1st, the bear have been out of their dens for a few months and have built their muscle tone up, but don't have alot of fat on them. Not to mention the dogs are out of shape at this time. I think as you get into fall, the dogs are in shape and the bear are usually fattened up where they don't want to run a whole lot. Although there are exceptions.

I found this spring very difficult to get a bear in the tree. they seemed to run forever, mostly the little ones.

I didn't see "any season that I run" on the list. Otherwise I would have picked that one.
I think they are toughest in July and get easier as the summer progesses. BUT they are much tougher to jump as the days get shorter. JMHO
