just curious but to breed a majestic all you need is a papered blood hound and a papered hound to cross together or exactly how does it work?

That is not excactly right, but Steve Morrow could explain this better than I. The majestic must also meet a type and size criteria to meet the breed standard. Some dogs such as Hagar the Horrible meet the standard and have been registered as Majestic but have no known bloodhound ancestory up close, although undoubtedly there was some present in that line back when Ben Lilly had them.

so if the parents do not meet standared but a pup does can it be registered as majestic? is steve on this board?

Would this dog be considered a majestic..I'm sure his mother was she is a Laser bred female that Riley Miller owns and his sire was a registered redtick that was killed by a bear..

By my guess (and have not a real clue ) she doesn't quite meet.. They have to be certain height, weight, and have a certain ear length etc..

Yes, out of Silver Lake.. My friend has her now, she will be started this year..

can a dog be papered something other than majestis also?
