I am looking into getting a new side by side. Form a hounddoggers point of veiw would the rhino or ranger by the better buy. I knew all the specs and would like real world examples that will help me buy the right one I am looking at the new 700's Thanks.

in my experience i found the ranger to be a little better for hauling the wait and they will go up anything but they are a very loud machine and that tended to drive me nuts. the rhino i found to be a little faster and agile but felt a little tippy. i myself am going to wait and see if canam will come out with a side by side

I like the rhino better for hunting, offroad kit and a winch and you are good to go, the ranger in my opinion is better put to use on the ranch, there are alot of aftermarket parts for rhinos so you can set it up the way you like.

Ranger is more for utility, little bigger, bigger pay load, not as smooth of suspension.

THe Rhino is s little sportier, smaller, better suspension, smaller cargo area and smaller payload. After that, its mostly personal pref.

I would go with the rhino, I work for an outfitter and they have both and in the snow with tracks on both they have to tow the ranger with the rhino!! Just my two cents

I would go with the Rhino, it's not as wide and turns better, thats if you dont run a bunch of dogs, the Ranger can hold more weight and carry more dogs and like said before on this post the Rhino feels a little tippy with a dog box in it, but we have yet to tip one over. I'm lookin at the Kabota diesel, Orchard machine, there alittle louder then the others, but have way more power and can haul alot more then both of the others, it's just gonna be a little tight in some places.But they get way better fuel milage then the other two.

My work has 6 Kabota diesel's, they work very well pulling a 3,000lb trailer, they get really good mpg, and you can fit 3 across the seat, and they have a large bed to put a box on, but the suspention is very limited, not very flexable, but as long as your just running roads or across mild terrain they would work great.

I've never hunted out of a Rhino but have out of a Kabota and Ranger. I would go with the ranger every time, The Kabota will get stuck in a mud puddle and is way under powered. In 2007 Polaris came out with the fuel injection 700cc and better suspension, mine is a 2005 and I love it gose anywhere but a liitle wide in the turning compared to a qaud. After owning this I would never buy a quad ever.

Honda is coming out with a UTV this fall. It is called the Big Red. As far as the polaris anything, we have used them daily on the ranch in very steep country and do not like them because of their engine braking system. We found it to be dangerous in the steeper country, 45 - 60 degree inclines and sure goes through the brake pads. The comfort and ride is excellent. Also, our seemed to nickle and dime us to death after acouple of years. We prefer Hondas now.

We have had good luck with the rhino so far has anyone tried the Teryx.

Not sure of the web site to rind all that stuff on. The one thing I will advise is getting a windshield that will swing up or come off. They (windshields)are great in the winter or when the ground is wet. On dry ground the dust will really roll into the cab with the windshield down. I think you went with a good machine, I love mine.

I have a Arctic Cat 650 utv with full factory cab enclosure with rigging box on top of bed(pick-up style). Best of three mention as far as being stable. Rhino and Ranger can have extenders added on each wheel at least 2" for stability. Rhino will have twin cyclinder engine in 700cc which AC and Rhino will have single cyclinders which adds a lot more engine noise. For night hunters, Rhino can have a alternator added (like a auto) that will push 40 amps. Ranger has a 500 watt stator that comes with a Ranger XP instead of 300 watt with normal Ranger. AC has only 300 watt stator which to me is the biggest downfall with the AC.. This will be very important with nights hunters because amp alternators will will keep up with wattage quicker than stators. I have two batteries to keep up with 35 watt HID conversion headlight and two driving lights that are 35 watt HID. Also have a extra third battery to assist starting if needed. I was surprised on how much wattages is used to light the night before I purchased my AC. Alternators will replenished wattage supply at lower rpm's than stators by far....I have been trying to trade in my 2008 AC to ranger XP because of this. Will benifit any hunter to look into these utv's very thoroughly for your specific needs before purchasing.....thanx....sparkieg
