WE hound men are opinionated people, every area has it opinions as to what can and can't be done. It is based on our life experiences many being raised in a hound hunting family. Most people hold their opinion as the right one, based on what you have experienced . What do you thank is the problem with the people in the world today everyone has the right opinion. We all know the world was flat at one time, the Wright brothers will never get their machine off the ground, the men walking on the moon was a fake. Where would this world be if no new ideas were never pursued? Men resist change to what they know in the way it is. Would not it be better if they were open to something they did not understand until they could see for themselves. I would be the first one to go back a hundred or 2 years ago in time, but my life is sure easier hunting with the hounds with the knowledge and technology that is available today. If you can separate the BS from the truth there is all the knowledge to choose and train a hound available here today. Each to their own, choose the dog that works for you and what you hunt. Dewey

My opinions change every day. Its not a big deal. Its just a friggin opinion. The only thing I would change in the modern day coyote hound is its size if I could. I just don't think they are big enough for the most part. I would like to see the 26 inch 60 pound males 28 inches and 75-80 pounds instead. Same dog just in a bigger variety for "where I live." I know they make big ole hounds but facts are them big ole hounds just cant run fast enough for what I do personally. A big rangey hound that can hit a lil over 30 mph next to my truck and hold it for a couple miles would fit in rather nice here as long as they hated a coyote.

X2 Dewey!! I hunt alittle different than my Father, and JC hunts alittle different than both of us. We all had rig dogs and roaded, but I gave more casting than Dad and JC will cast the whole pack without any problems. I do give alot of credit to the "ALPHA GPS" and it's capabilities
To each there own, and hunt the way you feel comfortable.
Also, X2 on Running x Tree Dog !!! JMO

Yes Dewey opinionated for sure ,but that's all it comes down to, OPINIONS there is no right answere there's no one way to do things and there isn't a dog or way of Hunting that works for everyone the only right way to do things is what's right for you and your hunting style No one will ever know it all. with hounds there is always something to learn and always room for improvement. if one isn't to narrow minded.
