Sandy, SLC Utah, looking for hunting group

I live in Sandy utah and I'm looking to hunt coons or coyotes

Hell, i don't mind even hunting other game. I just don't have a group of guys that hunt anymore. Had friends that moved away and got married, etc. etc. I know a few still but they are both Die hard 1 type of hunter. 1 hunts deer and one is a duck hunter.

Looking to get out and train myself as much as my dogs. My dogs are older and i know if missed the mark by waiting. Just how life goes some times.

My bitch is 3/4plott and 1/4 red tick
my male is half chocolate lab and half weimaraner.

Female love to track, just doesn't know how and what to do and thats my fault.
My male, wouldn't be a good cold tracker, but a hot track once trained i know he would be killer. He has a HUGE desire to please, and a HUGE predator drive. With help of other guys and dogs once he knows that what i want is a coon or coyote he will run his heart out to find it. On site, if we were within 100 yards of a coyote or coon he would sight chase it in a flash. He is not a great mile after mile runner, he's a lean 60 pounds but he can sprint like no other.


Long story long I'm just looking to get tout there. I must also add I'm not into TORTURE of animals. Shoot a coyote or a Coon is no big thing, but to let dogs tear them apart and such is not a goal i ever have. I want to get a good clean hunt, kill some coyotes and coons and skin them. To be honest i would need some teaching in that as well, id love to make my own hides.


If you seem like a guy that would want the job let me know. Im not a total newbie, i have guns, I've hunted, i own a truck, etc. Just need the expertise of another hunter.
