I'm looking to hire a part-time/seasonal packer/skinner and guide for this years bear and pig hunts. I start everyone as a packer/skinner and then when I feel you are ready I'll move you into a guide position. Sometimes I might only need you once or twice a month and other times I'll need you every weekend and even weekdays if available. This would be a great job for someone who already has a job and wants to have some good income coming in from a side job. This is not the ideal position for someone looking for full-time. Last year I had 17 guided pig hunts right in the middle of my bear season in the month of November. I had pig hunts almost every other day along with guided bear hunts.

I am only looking for motivated, honest and reliable help. Do not waste my time if you have any game violations or a criminal record. No smokers or drug users. Once I move you into a guide position you will be required to have a CA guides license. This is a great opportunity for someone who is serious. You will be guiding on some of the best private land there is in the state of California.

Pig hunts will be spot and stalk guided only. You will be responsible for guiding, field dressing, packing and skinning. We will be hunting near Cloverdale (Sonoma County) and Hopland (Mendocino County).

Bear hunts will be guided with the use of (Lockwood Hunting Services) hounds only. You will be responsible for field dressing, skinning and packing. We will be hunting between Orick (Humbolt County) up to Crescent City (Del Norte County).

If you are interested follow the below steps:

1.) Mail or email me a resume.

2.) Once I get that if I am interested then I will set up a phone interview.

3.) If you still have my interest we will set up a face to face interview.

By then I should know if your the right guy for the job so I will set up a time for you to come up and tag along during a guided hunt.

If all seems fine and you can control your temper with hunters who will push your buttons then you'll have a job. Just remember that all I ask is that you give every hunt your all.

The only houndsmen from your area that I've ever hunted with was Whitworth.
