I have a now 5 moth old bluetick that I am am training to coon hunt. Se comes from coon/bobcat hunting parents and seems to be a natural. My question is, is it ok to hunt her on bobcat by herself. Seems less dangerous for her if there's a group of dogs. Whats your thoughts. Any training tips.

Heck yeah hammer down. I hunt only one dog on cats right now. I'm no professional, but I don't see the harm. If anything it will make the dog a better all around dog.

If she has the right stuff it will work out great but not many dogs do.
That's what i live for.To me there's nothing better than raising a pup that can go one on one with a hard running bobcat and make him tree .Its not easy and you may have to go through many dogs to find the one.
I always get a kick out of it when i meet someone in the woods that doesn't hunt hounds and they look in my dogbox and say"You only have one dog in there ?"
Good luck with your pup.I hope she has the "right stuff " !

I have had her around other well established hound guys from Marys Peak. They said she shows a lot of sign of a good cat dog by watching her.
