Today we lost a truly great Hounds man and friend to many Butch Nelson passed away Early this a.m. A close friend and an Amazing teacher he will be forever missed and never forgotten. The memories we shared the laughs the stories I am so thankful for. Thank You.

Tim just told me, sorry Merlo. I wished I could have had the privilege to meet him in person. I know you lost a true friend today.

That is shocking news. When I saw him two years ago He was strong as an ox.
He was such an inspiration to so many people.
I thought of him as the last mountain man.
Such a remarkable man, and gone way too soon. I am so sad to hear of this. His family must be torn apart. My Prayers and thoughts are with them.
I remember wishing everyone could experience Butch Nelson.
So sorry.
