Is this down by bass lake. I hunted there for the past 3 years, but the old timer i hunted with passed away in March(RIP Arkie AKA the travler). I might go down there this year to hunt with his grandson I killed my first bear the year before last down there. It is nice hunting, but can be tough and watch out for the rock bluffs and cliffs. Other than that its nice.

4 years ago I went up there above bass lake on besore rd and took it to the top.
I ran into a Ranger saying there is more bears then deer. But didn't see any during the 2 days we camp. We saw little signs but no bears.
Trinity alps is supposed to the best in Calif, but thats a 6-7 hour drive.
