Redbones N bear hunting

Now I may get whipped, flogged, tarred and feathered but I want to ask this question. I have never hunted behind a redbone bear hunting and as far as I can remember I have never seen one in the woods while bear hunting. Most people are either walker or plott men with a blue dog sprinkled in every now and then. I have coon hunted with buddies who own rebones and the ones I've hunted with sounded just awesome and done a reasonable good job at it. Is there a specific line of redbones that are used for bear that anyone knows of?

I swear i'm always defending Redbones on this sight, but i have got what are supposed 2 be the some of the best bear dogs from Utah and Arizona. Then some dude gave me a purebred Redbone pup from Illinois I really didnt want another cat dog but let me tell you what he's the best bear dog i've ever had by far. Maybe i just got lucky.

You could give an old man a heart attack. I laughed until my chest hurt. :)

Onalimb just told the honest truth, called it exactly how it is. That's what was so funny about it.

We all saw that post about redbones and just rolled our eyes, "Oh here we go again." Onalimb just said what we were all thinking.

ive hunted with a few just this past august, they were kinda young but i wasnt really overwhelmed by their abilities lol but then again ive hunted with lots of other breeds that needed a bullet too. I think you just have to find a line that works like every other breed and stick with it. Actually the one red dog thot about puttin the ivory to me when i was walkin it out of the woods after finding it and a B&T on a slick tree (BTW it regretted its idea after) Im pretty sure Ike runs some red dogs i think hes the man to talk to lol
