I'm curious if anyone has experience doing this. I do know a couple guys who do this and it works for them just fine, but id like more feedback. The main use for my dogs is to run bear, but I would like to coyote hunt them in the winter on snow as well. There aren't too many coyotes where I bear hunt so i don't see it being a huge issue and if they get on one every now and then by accident during bear season it wouldn't bother me. Just curious to hear peoples experience with it. Thanks

My dealings have been positive on this issue. It seems the more they get ran, the better they get.

There are HUNDREDS of bear dogs in Wisconsin that are run on coyote in the winter time. There are also coyote dogs there being run on bear. And there are guys with seasonal employment who run coyote almost every day of favorable conditions all winter. And coyote races can sound and act a lot like a bear race. So a summertime coyote race while bear hunting is simply a bear that got away. It's just that sometimes a coyote might happen to be in the area and cross the road right where the bear should have been.
