Read yesterday on Tom Remington's Black Bear Blog, a Washington D.C. federal judge has ruled against the USFWS delisting Great Lakes wolves.
Reportedly, the opinion he put forth would make it impossible to ever meet (his) criteria for delisting.
Seems likely the judge's ruling will help tip the balance of public opinion to the anti-wolf side. Might end up being counterproductive to the wolf-lovers.

That seems about right, that a dip shit judge who's probably never even been to the Great Lakes Region feels he has a "better" knowledge than all the biologists, hunters, ranchers, and USFWS put together. How about we let his dumb ass pay for ALL the BS that has been had to be done to get them delisted.
I know a buddy of mine would sure like to wipe out a pack of them by us. You can't even cold trail, or run a bear without them coming in to your dogs. He's had a couple three run ins and a few dogs tore up. The ONLY reason it didn't get worse is that they happened to be in there.

I had a friend recently return from Wisconsin on a bear hunting trip and from what he encountered was an example of a large population that cannot be supported by the region. He said there were very few deer, two of the hounds they were hunting with were attacked by wolves, and they found the remains of a bluetick that was eaten clean by a pack. There was a reason these animals were once hunted fiercely and it will probably take the attacks of several children for those ill-informed liberals to take any action.

If...the major sportsmens groups, including the NRA would join forces for once and attack the misuse of the ESA...which is now being used to overshadow the U.S. Constitution and states rights to manage their own resources...this crap would get resolved.
