Looks real good, I would add a 4" plate upright under the doors to keep the shavings in the box and it keeps the dogs back a little easier, you might have to raise the area above the doors if you add the lower riser. also I don't think you will fit 6 dogs per side ( in my opinion 4 per side or 5 pushing it) and how big are your head holes it looks like a small pup could climb out through them. and on your rig rack if you run a center bar across to attach your chains to and keep your chains short where the dog can just stand up comfortably it keeps them from moving around to much but they can still lay down(fall down) for safety purposes. and I put my door hindges on the out sides(by the tail lights) so the dogs won't trip on the tailgate cables. and keep the doors narrow so only one dog at a time can get through them so they don't all rush out at once.

Keep us posted on how it comes out.

hey lion hunter thanks for the input. its alot bigger than it looks in the pics. i think that it will hold probably 6 dogs on each side. but also the holes are only 6 3/8 inches across and ive never had any of my pups get out of them thats what i have in my old dog box to.

Not sure I would have angled the round openings. Looks like rain can get in too easy? I also used some tar paper on top of the wood then outdoor carpet on top of that to make my box waterproof.

Hey fullcry iam also going to put like a piece of wood or metal maybe on some hinges that cover th ose for that purpose. to keep the water out and also during the lion hunt to keep the warm. but like for the bear hunt and when its not raining it can be up and just clipped to the strikerack, you kind of get what iam saying.

Be real carefull putting tired wet dogs into a closed up dog box. I have heard some real sad story's from some who have. They could sufficate easily in those conditions. Another possible solution could be to extend your roof out over the slant just past the widest point on your box, and a couple of inch's on each end that should take care of most of the rain leaking in not all but most. Hope this helps good luck. There has been a lot of heads scratched over the building of dog box's.
