Should a one year old hound be baing when he or she picks up a lion or baer scent?

if worked with as a pup they should... I have two 1year olds that are smokin my older dog right now and one is starting to rig. But i also have a 2year old that i got from a guy a few months ago that is just starting to open up a little (a real little) i can tell she hasnt seen a damn thing other than what ive shown her. I'm a firm believer in starting hound training the day they are born

Most will, some won't, but if they do not it does not necessarily mean they are a hopeless cause. What do you mean by "one year"??.....12 mos. or 23 mos.?
