? on tracking system

i just finished reading dfg rules on tracking systems in ca and not sure that i am understandig correct it states you can not use a system that is gps or having tree switchs and i seen on another thread that all systems have tree switchs kind of lost in the whole deal if any one can clairify i would app.

you can order tracking collars---with or without tree switches-

I have been told for years by Calif. hunters, that tree switches were illigal in Calif.

In the "Great" state of California you can not legally use tracking collars that have tree switches or gps devices. There goes the Garmin Astro. I just bought new Johnson collars without tree switches.
Don't you just love this state.

Seems like anything good is against the law.
