Just let us know if Alex needs some training. I'm sure we can find someone to straighten him out before the shows.

I'll be there.
Do you know who's judging? Once ya'll get a better idea of how many events you're having and who's judging, I need to sit out and get my Apprenticing done.
I could also be a HD for one of the hunts. If you guys think I'm capable enough. I might be breeding my dog again this year (soon), so I might not have anything to enter, so I might as well help you guys out.

I don't think Alex needs some training(but maybe he does hes not into showing as i am hes more into hunting). If we get his leopard reg with UKC soon he might show him. Its duke he wont stand for me for even a minute, but he'll stand for a couple of minutes for Alex.
Silver is looking as good as ever and i cant wait to show her. I'm also going to show her at the AKC show at Cal Expo in April hopefully we will do good. Never been to one of them fancy show ill have to dress up.

Are all the events strictly for registered dogs? If so, are there any hunts around for grade dogs?

This above event is for registered dogs only, but at United Houndsmen of California Inc, we have open swim races and we are having 3 more big coonhunts before coonseason ends.

Cool...I'm just interested in possibly getting my dog in a hunt. Will you post the details too (directions, times, cost, etc...)? Thanks for the info.

Why is it that the UKC dogs never seam to be able to compete with the none registered dogs at the other field trials?

I know mine do. They placed in the semi's and finals at both events. But when it comes down to it I don't just do "field trials" I don't even consider myself having a field trial dog, I have hunting dogs, so I'm not going to drive way out of the way to go to just a field trial when I can take my whole yard full of UKC dogs and go do everything in my back yard.
Lets try an belittle another hound club, because they are holding an event the same weekend as you. Well they sent in there stuff for the event dates 3-4 months ago. At the time most didn't think about Elk Creek.
Some of us work hard for what little money we have, we have to choose what we can do, and try and help out where we can.

I'm not knocking the UKC dogs, I was just asking because I've heard that the UKC events Field Trials draw few entries. And I only Know of a few of them that run at the open events.
