Hello from North Idaho

Hey, I am a new to the site. I am from Bonners Ferry, Idaho. I have four plott hounds. Went cat hunting this morning, was a bit chilly -10 degrees. We have too much snow between 4 to 6 feet in the valleys depending on where your at. Left at 3:30 AM and got back at 11:00 did not find any new tracks. Ran to the Canadian border and back on two different routes to no avail. All in all traveled about 150 miles, I guess on the positive side though did not see any wolf tracks this time around either.

Welcome, do you do a lot of bear hunting in Idaho? How has the cat hunting been so far this season?

Bear hunting was real good this year, treed lots of bear. The unit I hunt your allowed to bait. Usually start most of my bears off those baits, occasionally will rig one though. Cat hunting has been tough because of all the snow we got. Makes it really hard to get anywhere.

No thanks, we got enough. I know what your talking about though, I have hunted down your way, actually lived at Kamiah as a kid. The last time I hunted down there was up around HeadQuarters and there was plenty of wolves around there. Hopefully we get a season going here pretty soon.
