There is a Hearing Monday at the capitol building at 3pm. Anyone who can show up to show a strong message against this bill will be helpful. The best way to stop this is to stop it before it starts.

Please Send in your comments to the legislation, Use the Link to write a Letter of opposition, Show up in Salem at 3pm if you can. We need all the help we can get on this fast, hard and quick, or else we are going to be in for a long fight...

HB2740 recently passed. It won't change a thing.

I went to the second hearing in March. The third speaker in support of it was a woman from Clackamas County Humane Society who brought a story of a recent 'raid' on neglected/abused Walker Coonhounds in Sandy, OR. No mention of this 'raid' involving 50+, 20+ or more than 10 intact dogs involved (so it really did not illustrate the point of this House Bill) but she got in a story of horrible hound owners.

Just like one of your t-shirts says...WHO IS NEXT?

Every peice of legislation involving the control of animal ownership is wound together...the humane society is sure weaving their webs....and hounds are still very much in their tapestry.
