I was just wondering if anyone on here has ever got any dogs from the Lancaster crew? Or if anyone has hunted with them or has some insight on there hounds. From the video's....they look pretty dam good!

I have hunted with King and Rico. King is the one eyed bluetick majestic while Rico looks like a walker but is also majestic, both are excellent hounds.

The late Cam Lancaster was a good friend of mine. Both him and bart have great dogs. I say Cam's pack had it going on a lot better as he was getting away from the Majestic's and developing a line that could really stick a bear all day, day after day. That being said Bart has some pretty damn good dogs on bear and cat as well but more of a cat dog though. Them 100lb + dogs break down too easy for me.

You know you hear about big dogs breaking down. I've found that is not always the case. I have a dog from Dan Lay which looks alot like the Lancaster dogs and I also have southern bred dogs that are smaller. The Dan Lay dog is probably 40 lbs heavier, but he is the toughest dog I own. He will hunt day in and day out even in extreme conditions. He can also load in the back of a 3/4 ton pickup with the tailgate up. So I know for the most part that big dogs are slow, awkward, bad feet and not athletic....but its not always the case
