Any one here ever heard of (sorry for the spelling) Pilemitria or Pilemitriosis? It is a type of infection found in non altered females.
Is it possible you're looking for information on "pyometra"? Sounds like something close to what you're describing. Here's some info, and a cool link for future reference. Hope this helps.
