my dogs first bobcat

Treed this little cat yesterday with my 9 month old bluetick/english cross. Found the track smokin hot at 7:00 , ran a bunch of roads looking for a lion. (no luck) Then came back at 10:00 and decided to run the track. It was snowing at the time so by now the track was almost just dimples. Got the little guy on it and he took off. I had to help him once at a big opening where I could just barely see the track, then another time at a log crossing a draw, he started treeing on it. After that he figured it out himself. 3 drainages later he barked treed. He was milling around and then he would start treeing again. We finally got to him and asked him where the cat was, he took my buddy (he got there first) to a giant ponderosa where alot of the bark was chewed and scraped of and started treeing when he saw me. I tied him up and started looking and found this guy almost in the top. We finally got back down the the main road at 7:00. Needless to say the bobcat worked me, my buddy, and my dog over good. But it was a great day, and my dogs first solo bobcat race that ended at a tree. ( sorry, really bad picture, crappy camera)

Outstanding! Keep up the good work. Gotta love it when a guy gets out and puts his pup on the ground and catches game.
