I hope it all works out good for you guys. You will have to patroll yourselfs also.Bob parker from stony brook outfitters stopped bye my place a few weeks ago he was excited about the extra training time. But was also concerned about a few bad apples putting bait out and jeopardizing everything. So hopefully afew dont ruin it for everybody.I no Dale Tobey had a part in helping to extended the season bye testifying and answering questions. Good job dale

Dale didnt say when it was going to be voted on.He did say you can check it online somehow. He said thats what he has been doing.

I heard he did a good job testifying but it took committee members 15 minutes to get the chewing tobacco off the microphone when he was through !

Border I haven't chewed or smoked cents I had to lug your sory lost ass through the woods :P I was in Augusta last Thursday and Friday Testifying on other bills to do with our land lock Salmon. The training bill has not been voted on in the house or senate yet. Every Rep. and Senator I spoke with said it should fly right through. The bill as written say's ME Resident's holding a valid ME hunting licence can train up to six dogs on bear from the first of July to the opening of the bait season for bear. It has a one year sunset added ( which means it has to be voted on again next year to be permanent ) We should know for sure soon.

I just went and checked the senate voted it in on Thursday Now if it pases the house we're golden

Last Senate Action 4/2/09 - COMMITTEE ON BILLS IN THE SECOND READING REPORTS NO FURTHER VERBAL AMENDMENTS NECESSARY Senator Damon, Senate Chair. REPORT ACCEPTED.
READ A SECOND TIME PASSED TO BE ENGROSSED AS AMENDED BY Committee Amendment "A" (S-22)
Ordered sent down forthwith for concurrence
Last Engrossed by Senate on 4/2/09

does this bill include Maine guide licenses also

I know some people that guide for bear but do not hunt, would a guide be included in the extended season, also does the valid maine liscense follow into August where there is no requirement foe a liscense for a license
