Well I know quite a few and a whole lot of Chris's breeding dogs came from my place and they are lion hounds from the ground up. Ask old Bar X what he thinks about Scar. LOL!
Folks Chris is the real deal. He doesn't brag a lot because he doesn't have to he catches lions in places most folks won't even go. I raised Old Scout, Misty and Libby and let me tell you they came out of dogs that didn't know quit.
You won't go wrong with Chris.

of the four dogs that I know personally they are making top dogs pretty early. I dont think you would go wrong by getting your hands on one or some of them. I and the other two guys that have them up here are very happy with them.

My "Big John" is supposed to be out of Chris's bloodline and I tell you what he is a cat crazy fool. Very intense have'nt had him on anything else but if he is half as good on bear as he is on cat I'll be happy!!!

Yep, thanks to Mr Leonard and Mr Todd- I'm completely contaminated, think about lion hounds all day long.
those guys are making crosses that work. Chris is honest, met me halfway to get my pup, and invited us to come back and hunt with him once Scar grew up.
Scar is almost 2 years old now and been on quite a few lions, and bunch of bears. She is quite a hound, with brains, natural cold trailing ability, desire, and grit, mixed with a little stubbornness.
My friend Chris C. also has a 2 yr old from Chris Todd just a different litter- his pup is the real deal.

My buddy has a male from Chris, off of Scout and Dottie. He's a big redtick, real houndy looking and boy will he go. We bred him to a real nice female off of Mike's Lil Blue and J. Baker's Bell. We have some smoking dogs off that litter as well. This dog is a cold trailing fool, he used to strike elk tracks that were a week old. LOL!. I sure think highly of this line of dogs. Take care.

Mason,
If that pup will strike a moose that cold Houndawg and I may want to purchase him. We are breeding a very select strain and he sounds like he might work into our program for really BIG game. LOL!

Mike,
He'd work for sure. He has no fear and will still to this day sneak off and try to get a herd going! LMAO! He is a real deal, dry ground lion dog for real. Here is a pic of him when he was around 18 months old. He was already going great at that age and had been in on a few catches. He's gritty as can be as well. He has his holes, but I'd feed him the rest of his days. Take care. Mason

I have two hounds from Chris Todd. A female I call her Molly, from the cross: Jiggs and Misty, she is 2 1/2 years old, and a male I call him Red, he is 1 year and 10 months old, his father and mother are: Scout and Jossie, Jossie is daughter of Ranger a 100% Cameron bluetick hound and Misty. Scout and Misty and Libby are from the same father and mother, I think different litters, and came from Mike Leonard.
I really like both of them, the problem is the trainer (me).
I recomend the dogs of Chris Todd.

Hector,
I am glad to hear you like them both. Chris sent me a photo of one of the Jiggs cross males he kept this morning. I mean he looks excactly like Jiggs. He kept two or three of them himself and said they are very easy handling broke off trash no problem and super tree dogs. They are still rather young so they are not really cold trailing extreemly cold tracks yet but this line of dogs seems to hit a point at about 2 1/2 to 3 years and they began to take colder and colder tracks. They advance quickly but even old Jiggs himself was better this year on those really old bad burned out dry tracks than he was the year before. And Little Blue who is Misty's littermate amazed me at some of the really old lion trails he was starting and moving.Jiggs moves a bad track very quickly and at times you would think the track is much fresher than it is.
I hope all is well down your way and your family is fine I think of you and Julio often.
Have fun!

Ryan this is an old post but stay with the breeding your doing. This walker female I got from you is amazing. She is 6 months right now and makes every race my dogs go on. She's 100+ barks a minute too. She has no back down at all in her as well. Keep up with these dogs they start young and people need to be getting pups from you they are the real deal.
