I can't believe it. WTF is going on? Is Rush a sell out, or just gone emotional?

The USSA has had a request out for about two week asking everyone to send him a e-mail informing him of who the HSUS is. I personally haven't heard the adds, I believe we swamped him with e-mails. Has every one know that listens to him, he's definitely a Conservative and there ain't nothing that more of part of the backbone of this great Nation like hunting.

Here's a copy of USSA's first request:

Sportsmen Call on Rush Limbaugh to Break Ties
with Country’s Leading Anti-Hunting Group

(Columbus) – The U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance (USSA) is spearheading an effort calling on American sportsmen and women to ask radio personality Rush Limbaugh to disassociate himself from the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the largest animal rights group in the country.

On April 14, 2009, the HSUS revealed that Rush Limbaugh had recorded two radio announcements supporting two of its programs. This revelation has caused an uproar in the sportsmen’s community due to HSUS’ long-standing history of assaulting hunting, fishing, and trapping rights.

“Many of Mr. Limbaugh’s supporters are the very people targeted by the HSUS,” said Bud Pidgeon, USSA president and CEO. “By lending such a prominent voice to supporting HSUS, he is helping to deceive people about the real agenda of the organization.”

After being notified of Mr. Limbaugh’s promotion of the HSUS, the USSA sent him a letter to shed light on HSUS’ true agenda and outlining anti-hunting activities undertaken by HSUS. The letter also urged Mr. Limbaugh to disassociate himself from the group.

The letter, signed by the USSA President and CEO, Walter P. Pidgeon, Jr., details why the HSUS is the top opponent of sportsman rights:

“…every major piece of legislation, lawsuit or ballot issue that would restrict the rights of Americans to hunt originated with HSUS. This includes bankrolling ballot issues to ban the hunting of America’s #1 game bird, the mourning dove, lobbying legislation to ban the only effective hunting methods to control black bear numbers, opposition to hunting on Sundays, and opposition to allowing parents the ability to choose at what age their sons and daughters are permitted to begin hunting and much, much more.”

“The HSUS is the number one opponent of sportsmen in America today,” said Pidgeon. “It uses seemingly harmless campaigns like the ones endorsed by Mr. Limbaugh to raise funds for the organization to advance its controversial mission. It is our hope that once Mr. Limbaugh hears from American sportsmen and women he will understand how his endorsement aids HSUS in its quest to to destroy American freedoms such as hunting, fishing and trapping.”

Take Action: All sportsmen and sportswomen should immediately contact Rush Limbaugh and urge him to sever his ties with HSUS. Explain that regardless of the issue being promoted by HSUS, their true agenda is to destroy America’s heritage of hunting, fishing, trapping, and all scientific wildlife management methods.

This just came has a alert. It's a attempt to address this potentially huge problem by the USSA. It's tomorrow, so be part of a Nation wide attempt at a solution to it!!!

Time to Tell Rush The Truth About HSUS

We have not heard from Rush, one way or the other, on his support for the number one enemy of sportsmen nationwide, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).

On April 14, American sportsmen were stunned to learn that Rush is supporting HSUS, and has produced ads for them opposing dog fighting and promoting a partnership between people of faith and animal activists.

At issue is not the causes discussed in the ads but the fact that he is acting as a spokesperson for the largest animal rights group in the country.

We believe that many people give to the HSUS while under the impression that they run local dog and cat shelters. However, the HSUS is not your local humane society that takes care of pets, but a well-funded national group determined to destroy your outdoor heritage.

The HSUS/Limbaugh ads have also run during the "Rick and Bubba" show on XM radio. The family friendly "rural comic" show is very popular in the Southern U.S. This is an obvious attempt to make in-roads among conservatives.

Last week, 28 leading conservation groups signed a letter to Mr. Limbaugh explaining the real agenda of the HSUS.

This story has generated national press attention in the Los Angeles Times, Washington Times, New York Post, as well as on ESPN.

Now it’s time for Rush to hear from American hunters, fishermen, and trappers live and in person.

Longtime listeners are familiar with Rush’s “Open Line Friday” show during which he lets the callers choose the topic to be discussed. This Friday, May 1, is a great opportunity for sportsmen and sportswomen to call in and let Rush know the facts about the nation’s top animal rights group, HSUS.

Sportsmen nationwide are encouraged to call Rush and tell him how HSUS is assaulting your rights around the country by:

bankrolling efforts to ban the hunting of America’s #1 game bird, mourning doves;
opposing hunting with dogs;
opposing giving parents the ability to choose at what age their sons and daughters are permitted to begin hunting and much, much more.

Take Action! Sportsmen should call Rush’s show at 1-800-282-2882between noon and 3pm Eastern Standard Time THIS Friday, May 1.

Remember, Rush gets thousands of phone calls, so persistence is an absolute must! Everyone who calls in to Rush, please e-mail the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance at info@ussportsmen.org and let us know the outcome of your call.
