I have hunted there a little along the Colorado River Rims up near Dead Horse Point and down near the Cisco Country and south towards Newspaper Rock. It is a good lion country with deer and sheep, but let me tell you: you better take a parachute, your rappelling ropes and harness and a wish and a prayer for your dogs. It is steep as can be and terrible if there is any ice or snow. You will lose some dogs to be found later as bodies of broken and crushed bones far below as El Gato skates across it and thumbs his nose in your face.
Not for me Amigo and as old George Nay famous Gov. hunter who lived there said. It is not for the faint of heart, or you will be singing Ol Shep.

Yeah I just got back from there and it some crappy country, we hunted the LaSal range for a few days and got snowed out, then went west about 30-40 miles that was a little better country but still rocky as all hell, we did alright but I aint gonna go there again LOL. Thanks for the imput, I thought I might just be a weeny, about all the rock cliff's and 300 Foot drops, but sounds like you guys feel the same way as I did, it aint for me.

One wrong step in this country and it curtains for dogs and men. I've lived around here most of my life and even now I catch myself in places and have to ask myself what I'm doing.

Boy no joke dropping off on the Colorado side, I want no part of those bears. Yikes! Good gosh though it is some dang good game country but just not too condusive to the way most folks hunt these days, But aren't you glad there are still them old holes back where the wild gets on you pretty good.
Have you boys noticed an increase in the lions over the past 4-5 years over there? I am hearing they are doing well because of the study closing things down to the east but I don't know.Eddie,I'll be danged, what ever happened to Keith?
Any of the Robb boys still hunt over that way?
