The dogs rigged this one and put it up within minutes, you know what happens when you get an easy one the next one is going to be tough.

Back to the truck after the first one and I decided to free cast the hounds for a while as we hiked through some good bear country. Lots of sign but it took awhile to hit on anything fresh and when we did we found a bear wearing his Nikes. It was 7 miles that bear lined out before I could cut them off and call them off. It was 1 1/2 miles back to the truck and we were getting close and the hounds decided to teach me something new. I learned that I better spend more time breaking them off moose as they got picked up another 10 miles farther at about 11:00 pm

doug gotta watch them dudes. thats some funny stuff there. i would rather take my chances on a bayed up bear than a moose. few years back, down below you at grandby, ol john and barry the guide got on a moose, liked to about killed him, i was laughing so hard, he said, holy that moose almost killed me aeh! broke a whole bunch a ribs aeh! thought i was a gonner. he said as i looked up i said please lord dont let me die on a trash race! hey think about it, how many people have you ever heard of that were killed running trash? all the while i was"lmaorof"  making memories. how many others besides a select few can say they have ran a moose? doug it should be illegal to have as much fun as you have! every time you post and i see tatlayoko lk. in the background i think to myself that doug is a lucky man! take care my friend and keep up the good work. mike

Yeah, always a cople of thoughts running through my head when my hounds open while free casting...., "you never know what you are going to get"..
Great job done and great pics Chilcotin.

By the way: Whats that light coloured hound standing behind the two others? Looks a lot like the sire of a pup I'm rising for the time being.
