Don't know anything about the Magnum collars but I send my Johnsons and others to Johnson they charge about 40 for the 16000 hours and can convert the old 8000 to 16000. Here is the contact info for them; Johnson Telemetry

hey all thanks for the info i talked to quick trac and klein today. the dude at klein said they fix pretty much all collars. will check out the others ya mentioned appreciate it very much thanks. yeah ike it was a good spring could have been better but i aint got any complaints about the dogs, they treed a few others that i couldt get my @## into but tree switches were going crazy and they werent moving but that was on me. oh well live and learn. thought i knew how they were running around here but got my degree in not knowing enough a few times. hey mike if i was any smarter than using a rock to turn my computer on id post a few pics but im still trying to learn so hopefully soon ill have some up. hope ya all are doing good and keep them treed!
