iam going to have 4-5 dogs need to know whats a better floor and what size kennels are good and iam putting a roof on it i will start out withs about a 1,000$ and work from there

go with stones the little ones that are smooth but their bigger than pea gravel......not sure what they r called but the city gives them away for free here if u put your name on the list......... the stones drain a lot better....so it doesnt stink plus its easy to clean up whatever the rain doesnt wash away

chris take this what it is worth but i have had the gravel, wood and concrete. i really stress to you the concrete is worth the money. the advantages are manky easy cleanup, more snanitary, one thing about rock or gravel or pea rock is adog will drop food in it and then try to eat it well ask vet what happens when something that cant be digetsted get in their stomach. wood just isnt worth it. as far as kennel size 4or 5 foot wide is just right and at least 10 feet long hope all this is helpfull

Hey just though I would drop a line on this. My kennels are 8 feet wide 6 feet tall and 16 feet long gives the dogs some room to move around.I just have gravel floors in mine.I have heard that concrete is hard on dogs joints and cause problems.

We have a 20 foot by 15 foot kennel with a concrete floor. We roofed the kennel as well. We did a really rough finsh to help keep feet tough and the slab is at a angle to help with drainage. Our three girls live together and share a huge dog box. We have found keeping them together as a pack helps with hunting as a unit. I do run them everyday and they have a huge graveled yard as well to romp in when we are home.

well i have two kennels side by side 12 x 30 each coverd on one end 12x12 with 6x12 cedar flood with bedding staw on top out to 10 feet the rest is small gravel and 6 foot high.males on one side females on the other good for 4 to 6 dogs
