I have my 6 month old pup that may have broken a bone in its foot or one of its toes. I went to bed last nigth at my normal time, my ol lady always goes to bed after me, doing something or another, and she came and woke me up around midnight and said that my dog Moose wasnt standing on his left leg. She went out to yell at the dogs and saw he wasnt putting any weight on it. So I got up to check him out, didnt seem to be anywhere in his leg, but when I touched a couple of his toes he pulled back and thats where it seemed to hurt. Do you think brining him to the vet is the best thing? I made an appointment tomorrow to have him checked out, my vet is pretty good and is a small town vet but gets a lot of business because he's pretty good. Just want to make sure Im not wasting my money and thats its something that will heal on its own. Its hard right now to seperate my dogs so he'll be around them almost no matter what. He slept inside with me last night because the misses was worried and didnt want him out with the big dogs (long night on the couch). Any feedback would be appreciated.

One of mine did the same thing.
I spent the $ and had it xrayed and it was a dislocated toe.
3 weeks later it was fine.
If its broken and it sets wrong he'll likely have problems or re occuring breaks for life, not worth guessing and ending up with a lame dog all the time.

Hard call on a pup, maybe he's not worth the $ if he's just "average" in ability (might not turn out)
If he's a superstar the decision is obvious.

Mine was an easy decision.

He's showed a lot of promise and is coming along nicely for how young he is, the decision is pretty easy for me. I got an appointment tomorrow. Also might have another pup on the way here soon. The place I adopted my main female from had 2 pups that came with her there, well the lady that runs the shelter kept one of the pups and I told her that if she couldnt handle the pup that I would take the pup off of her. Well she wrote me an e-mail today saying that she wanted me to come out and get her this weekend. Im really excited, thats only if the misses lets me get the pup. Would love to have those genetics!
