A few years back there was a hunter from Utah running the big Blakesley dogs. I can't remember his name but it was a German sounding name I recall that. He was lion hunting near Salt Lake I beleive.
Possibly some of the Utah boys can recall him.
I hunted some blakesley dogs way back. Certainly the best looing houndiest dark reds in the breeds. Big bawl mouthes and plenty of ear. Some almost looked like bloodhounds they had so much wrinkle to them.

Thanks Mike I sure hope some of them Utah guys can give me some help on this , or anyone that knows some about the line. I have a buddy that has some outstanding dogs and just found out they are from this line. We have been looking for a female with the same line and has the same hunting abbility as his to keep this line going.

Brent Barber of Bluffdale Utah still has some I believe. Brent Thurgood Of Grand Junction Colorado use to have one of the finest Red dogs I have seen named Dan that had the blood.
