Hey Ike congrats. we caught two this week. The little red pup I got off of you went to her first tree this past friday. She treed a little but ran around a lot barking her head off.
we harvested that bear and she {Pantera} claimed that bear as hers. Thanks again for the great dog. Never had a pup that uses her nose as much as her. She runs around the yard free and trees the cats a few times a day, bays the rooster and my kids and.. wants to run the pack already.

Well Mac, if that little red pup will bay up a rooster then she's a keeper for sure!
I've been on the phone with another young man that took that little red and black pup off me on the same trip. He claims his buddies are working that young dog and she's trailing and fighting coons hard as well; he also commented that they thought they had something special in that young dog. I hope so, and time will tell.
It sounds like you're still in the bears and having a ball Mac, stay in touch and let us know how you're doing and what you're catching..........
Border, yes, I'd say I have a mixed pack wouldn't you?

How are those 2 pups you have doing Ike? The same ones out of the litter. Have they dont any meat trails or seen any game yet? I know that blonde looking one was looking good, if its the same litter we're talking about.

Same litter BuckNaze, and I haven't shown them any game yet. I have had them down a few drags for them and they work the ground hard, trail and locate. I've had them out on a leash some and doing a little of that stuff, plenty of time for the other. As you probably know, I've been lazy the past couple years and have made my young dogs learn to hunt with the big dogs, and I'll most likely start those dogs on lion or bobcats in November.....just let'em be pups a little longer cause they'll be dogs for a long time.
RZ took the last black and red pup and he claimed she's a little ball of fire, trailing and firing and had her on a cage already. It'll be a fun fall and winter with those little buggers of mine for sure, and I'm afraid my son has already claimed them both and so they'll be coming and going from my backyard. He wants to kill a super tom this winter, so if he stays committed we're gonna hammer one this year..........

That should be exciting to see some of your posts from this winter when you have those little pups out there doing their thing! Keep us posted on some of their progress

Yup, it's always fun to watch those young dogs learn to take a track and follow it, then find the game in the tree. Hopefully I'll get some shots and will for sure share them....

As you know LCK, we live in some great country that has spectacular beauty when the light is right. It does make it harder to visit the flat land where I was raised.......
