I have a couple BMC's. 2 and 10 years old. mostly companion, they go to work with me. They are treeing squirrel machines though!!!

I carry a Ruger Single Six in .32 mag. worst thing I will run into is porcupine and coyotes.

I just got back from Tennessee with the girlfriend. We brought the horses down and rode through the Smokey Mountains. Beautiful country. Now back to running hounds!!

i quit coon hunting when i fell asleep on the highway on the way in to work one morning. we started work at 6:00am. i had hunted a few days in a row. caught up with me and i ended up falling asleep and drifted into the tractor trailer next to me. an eye opening event for sure. quit running coon dogs...

keep the stories coming. i got into hounds at 22 years old. bought my first house and the neighbor across the street took me coon hunting. i absolutely loved it but i get up at 4:15 for work so it was tough. when winter came he took me rabbit hunting with beagles. more my speed so i can get to sleep...

I've never hunted over mountain curs but I have over Black Mouth Curs. Gritty dogs but intelligent. Breaking mine off of deer was very simple. Great hunting dogs, good luck with your search.
