The greatest generation of cowboys , soldiers , intellect ... they came from harder times and many did sleep outside or were raised in dirt floor houses with a dozen siblings fighting over food and with no a/c ... no fast food , no cars ... it made them strong and independent thinkers .. no hand ...

Keep dogs inside to protect them from the cold , heat , rain and to bond better and make them handle better .. what is new ? We've heard that all before and neither side gains ground or can prove the other is wrong ... those pups and dogs I posted pics of live the dream life for a dog , but they ...

Every argument about dogs has already been played out and then some ...I don't care about inside vs outside or inbred vs outcross or the status quo of justifying that someone with an indoor dog is treeing game or someone with an outside dog isn't ...

I wanna know what someone has found that is new ...

Another outside pup with more time invested and a better bond than 99% of inside dogs ...

Keeping a dog inside isn't for the dog's benefit .. it's is something the owner prefers and maybe needs .

Inside vs Outside isn't something you will ever see clear differences ... because the deciding factor is what happens when they are in the woods and how often .

My dogs are every bit as ...

Every dog should have sufficient shelter .. if you live far enough north that doubling up dogs isn't enough or you need a fancy dog house then fine ... everything in it's place and people can be different and both be rigtht.

Point is ... dogs need stimulation and stress to react to in order to ...

A healthy hound out in the cold , is not himself cold .. but he is out there and is acclimated to it and far more prepared to also hunting in the cold .... same for heat , rain , often , etc.

For every way of doing something ... you can find successful and unsuccessful examples to try and justify ...

there is good stress and bad stress ... exposure and over exposure .... context means everything .

In order to hunt in rough weather , dogs have to live in rough weather ... it's the balance that Mother Nature demands of her subjects ... two dogs in a barrel = nice and toasty in about any winter ...

when it's -70 .... my whole body is in that dog house snuggled up !
