Re: ATV Dog Box Input
Put air holes in the back! More dogs die from suffocation than from hypothermia. Put marine deck plates on the sides, 6". You are gonna want to move that box as far forward as possible. Nice box!

Snow mobile dog sled trailer with suspension
Works great. Smoother ride, way more stable, can go way faster, and much easier on the dogs I think. Frame is 1" x 1/8, arms are 1 1/2" x 1/8. Weighs 55 pounds. Got snowmobile shocks off eBay.

Talk to Ken personally, he knows the crosses better than anyone. I don't hunt coon or bobcat.

Hound hunting wisdom
We prolly all have a few things that stick in our minds that old timers have told us about hounds and hound hunting. What are some things you have been told that you have always remembered? I will start with one:
"You cant put something in to a dog, but you can sure take it out of them!"

Re: Afternoon cat hunting
I do agree that setting young dogs up for success is key!!!! I wouldn't wanna pull some pups off a track if they were still moving it.

Re: Afternoon cat hunting
Hunt em all you can. We will turn out an hour before dark all day long. Sometimes we have to pull em off and sometimes they catch it. The idea that dogs always need to catch is not true, I don't think. Especially the idea that they need to chew on a dead critter to be good. Our dogs probably get to ...

Here, you will find bobcats up high in 3 feet of snow eating grouse and snowshoe hares and down in the creek bottoms where there is almost no snow eating cotton tails. Hope Diva is doing good!

Re: Snowmobile Hunting
Definitely go with plastic skiis. Definitely make it same width as snow mobile. There are two ways to build a trailer. Rigid tounge and skis that pivot or rigid skis with a tounge that hinges. Both work. There are advantages and disadvantages of both. I like a solid tongue with skiis that pivot. Use...
