Re: Anyone Know a Ed Moffo

Greg,
Catcher is right he moved back to Tennessee got married and started hunting PKC hunts with some high dollar walkers. I think he had the top female in the state for a year or so. Boomer stayed in Arizona with a guy by the name of Marvin and Tanner stayed here in Utah. I believe I met you down ...

Re: 5 toes

Too bad this cat didn't have six toes, I would let you borrow my dog named Inigo. He is experienced at tracking six fingered critters.

Re: CAMERONS?

Even if the dog sports the name or blood, make sure the pup you buy is from hunting parents trained by honest hunting owners. Do your home work on any investment. JMO

Re: color phase questions

Since we are talking about color schemes, I like to keep the pups that have a black hood with no white on the forehead. I don't do it for any other reason than I like the looks better.
Another thing that interested me is the pups that would have a perfect circle on them, there were always a few ...

Re: color phase questions

I have had both in a litter before. The darker pups will be mostly black, in fact they kinda will look more like a black and tan than a bluetick. The lighter one will hold onto the lighter ticking more than the others but will still darken up a lot.
I have noticed the pups that get more of the ...

Re: Puppy prices

Not trying to redirect the thread but have question.
Do you guys think that if someone is paying a high dollar amount for a pup, the warranty should be better? After all it is proven crosses that bring in the better money. Of course I am aware of all the ways people can screw up a hound but if they ...

Re: Puppy prices

$100-$200 unproven cross.
#200-$300 Proven cross.
I my opinion if you breed with the intent to make money you are breeding for all the wrong reasons.
I personally would never pay over $400 for any PUP.
I think the pups that cost that much are not treated the same as the ones that are priced ...

Re: extra long tail?

I have had a few hounds with extra long tails, all of them were junk!! now if I get a pup with a long tail I think I will quickly dock it so the dog wont become a cull. Too much tail means to little brains. The better dogs I have owned have cat like wiskers on there cheeks, so I look for that in a ...

Re: 2 yr. old starting to become aggressive

There is a guy here local that had a aggressive dog. It did not get along with kids but was a good hunter and he wanted to work through it. Well one day the dog got loose in the back yard and went after the child, 20-30 face stitches later the child is scared for life.
Animal control showed up and ...

Re: 2 yr. old starting to become aggressive

What good is the best dog in the world when you cant take your sons hunting due to them being nervous around the dog.
A little growling you might be able to curb but lunging at kids, cull him now and better the breed. Save the guy down the road that may have some offspring from this dog from ...
