I leave mine on the 2.5 second update and it shows treed. Actually it shows treed a little too quick I think. It seems like my dogs don't have to be still for very long and it shows treed. I have my point alert turned off and my treed alert set on vibrate.

I thought the best pack for bobcats was a single pack. I use to have way more success on bobcats when I just ran one dog. But thats pretty tough to do unless you hunt by yourself and only own one dog. Ha!

Just make your own. Used hood at a salvage yard $40. Good piece of heavy duty carpet about $10. Misc. sheet metal screws, eyebolts, chain and hooks $20. About and hour of labor and you have a fairly descent hoodmat.

I've had very good luck catching bobcats with blueticks. This is in snow though. I don't know how they would do on dry ground. I also seem to have better luck with just one dog.
