I am on that site as well, Another gentleman that I know quite well and is a top notch pedator trapper in his own right is Neal Olsen of Bethel, Maine. He also gives on the line instruction. Was blessed to hunt with a pack hounds 1 mine and the other 3 (Maine in the early 90's) where each dog could and did strike , trail , fight and tree there own bear. Hey Frog , From What I know You are a 100% correct about the Nelson Lures . Craig always has given credit where credit was Craig showed how to skin a 'yote in less than a min. As i've said before you couldn't go wrong w/his instruction. Always wanted to take some from Slim Pederson as well

Hunted Bear in Maine during the 70's-80's-90's and the toughest dog for day to day bear hunting and one of the most complete ( strike ,trail and tree ) bear dogs was a Turkey ridge Racket dog owned by Tom Hooke named Racket , He routinely would strike trail and tree his own bear w/zero help. THere are two dogs that are about equal in ability although they hunted different game . The first one was a grade redtick that I got from Wallace Trone from Parsonsfield, Me. an excellent coon dog from truck to tree. NEVER needed a leash nor would he leave the woods with out showing you every tree ...

Right now I am living in sheridan , But have lived in the fort bridger -Green river area also. Sheridan is nice but to big , looking for a more isolated location. Kaycee type of town. Any hints?
