Borrowed a sled from a buddy one time to hunt and threw the kennel up on the tunnel. It was great! I went anywhere. I felt bad for the dogs at times because of all the jarring around though. After it all, I owed my buddy a new tunnel.
So I went back to pulling them .

Re: Running dogs
A few things to consider is their is probably a cross of running dog and treeing dog out there almost bred to perfection for lion and bear. Also theirs probably a cross being made today by a first time breeder, looking for the same results the other guy has. Most those pups wont be culled more than ...

Colorado hound/Horsemen
Any of you know where a guy such as myself can board a few horses over night. I'm planning a trip out in April, and need a place to hold over for a night near Denver. Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Montana feild trial May 14th 15th
Andy, do you want it to be a cat race because half those topper dogs are bear whipped straight out of your puppy mill? Lol jk.
I went to one a few years ago here in washington and enjoyed the shit out of it. Took a day off from the real hunts and making up bullshit to myself to go check out ...

Re: Terrier hound cross
I'm a fan of the airedale and walkers. I got the chance to get one last year and I jumped all over it. They were 4 months old. Got 2. Both females. One is just our family dog who absolutely hates me and will only listen to women and kids. The other is a hunting fool. She was actually my 2nd pick of ...

I think a better title would be. The Ultimate Dan Dog. What you've got dreamed up is pretty cool, and I hope it all works out. You've definitely got a lot more patients than I do. Sounds to me, if you can catch cats without cold trailing or rigging or walking into those hard to reach areas that you ...

Mostly bear. Cats in the winter, coons between seasons when things are slow with bear.

Re: Pics of dog sleds
Here's my set up. I used to have a diamond deluxe box on the sled with a rack, which i kind of liked better. It only fit 3 max. The kennel works well too. It has had 4 in it. My dogs are all on the smaller side. It usually has a kennel cover on it that keep all the snow out. The skis move on the ...

Re: How deep is to deep?(Snow)
A few things I've taken in, is that the cats around here typically don't leave their range no matter how deep the snow gets. And the deeper the fresh snow, the longer I drag my feet in the mornings. I sometimes won't even go out the day after a big storm. For one, I like the snow to settle. And two ...

Re: does anyone know??
Chuck Thomas used to run some airedale crosses over there. He used to hook our family up with them when I was growing up. He might know. Look him up at redwing hound haulers.

Re: First of the Season
Thanks for the help Mike! No matter if it's a pop up or I just see one cross the road, the first bear of the year gets me perty excited.
That one wasn't too far at all. Seemed like they had winded it from the box cause it took them a few laps to get it pinned down and it was only a 200 yard walk ...
