Re: Two Pack's
I hunt plott/ running walker crosses, I think the most important thing is to make sure your pups come from good parents or as anything they won't work out, I don't think it matters what kind of tree dog you cross these running dogs on as long as you start with good dogs, mostly what you try to ...

Re: Walker Foxhounds
I would say the same, when we try to free cast and get on a coyote in early fall with our coyote dogs a lot of times we'll end up treeing coon, they'll learn to stay the more fur you shoot out to them, some never learn but the same goes for coon dogs, we hunt a lot of crosses now

Re: COONHOUNDS X FOXHOUNDS
I hunt a half plott 1/4 treeing walker 1/4 running walker and I wouldn't give him up for the world, he's a bear dog at heart but a solid coon dog that don't tree slick. He loves cats too, we have a female half treeing half running Walker, neither of them will leave a tree, we're gonna breed them ...

Re: Blue Heelers
He's a curious little dog, sorry about the late reply, He is as loyal a dog as ive ever seen, he seems unsure of his surroundings but every day gets more confident, its too cold to coon hunt and not enough snow to coyote hunt so ive been working on teaching him other things like riding in the skid ...

someone in my area trained their heeler to coon hunt, this sparked my curiousity and this site is the best resource for my questions, First, does anybody hunt with a heeler, on any sort of game? what use do they bring to the table in your pack? Theyre very intelligent trainable dogs from what i hear ...

Re: multi-game hounds
every dog has their own potential and place in a pack, i'm sure some dogs excel better in certain situations, from a cold track to when the heat is on, from a hog to a bear, bobcat, coyote, lion or coon, there's got to be more of you out there with do it all dogs, an elite pack of savage hounds who ...
