Re: Kennels or large dog runs
What kind of fencing do you guys use if you don't mind me asking? How do you keep the climbers/diggers in?

Re: tool box/dogbox
As long as you put some holes in it for air there shouldn't be a problem. Most of those dog boxes they make now are make out of the same thing as the toolboxes. Just get the ventilation to them. But you probably already have it figured out. If you google toolbox/dogbox there are some neat pictures ...

Re: cherry eye
Take the dog to the vet and let them fix her eye. I had a beagle that got it when she was 10 months old. The vet fixed it and now she is 8 years old and never had a problem. She is a lot closer to the ground and runs through sticker bushes all the time. I have been told it is genetics but I know the ...

Re: Zimectrin Gold
I hunt beagles and they need wormed almost every month because the rabbits here are pretty mangy. I've had great luck with Zimectrin but I only use it when I see tapes in my dogs stool. I have a 8 year old beagle that has used it every year. I have just heard that you don't need to use it every ...

Re: Raw diets?
We get deer, elk, and any other fall game to feed the dogs and then in the winter we get beef scraps from a local butcher. We have found that you still have to give them a handful of dog food to help them digest. The only downfall to the raw deer meat is that the hounds get worms from the carcasses ...

Re: I am at a crossroad
I live in Oregon and there is a lot of moisture so those alum boxes sweat a lot and hold the moisture. Wet bedding and chilled dogs aren't pleasant in the winter. I like a good wood box. You can build them cheap and they will last a long time if you paint them.

Re: wormer
I use equimax horse wormer paste. It has the ivermectin in it and the pyrantel. This works great cuz it gets the fleas, ticks, and tapeworms. Have used it on everything from a 6 wk. pup to a full grown hound. We just do it once a month and they are good.

Re: Ivermectin
We live in the northwest and I use it monthly. It is really good for keeping ticks and fleas off your dog. I have literally seen it kill a latched on tick in about 2 days. Also use that Equimax paste horse wormer. It has ivermectin in it and that pyrantel so it gets the tapeworms as well.

Re: tri tronics battery ?
I've had good luck with the G2 for four years. Just the other day I lost all collars. I stopped by the factory yesterday. They had it fixed in two hours and ready to pick up. They also replaced all batteries and some had broke the collar loops that they replaced. Very nice people and great service ...
