Re: Will A Lions Claim another Lions Kill
Brent. Some clarification. Two different cameras. And pic count is huge. First and third pic would say is same Female and older juvenile. Middle pic is different camera and far off pic count. And could say the same for the gap between first and third pic. But looks like the same pair. Clarify the ...

Re: Garmin trouble?
Not so much trouble. But have plugged them in and had them take several minutes before they turn on the blue charging light. Usually only when they were not truly dead yet. As in all rechargeable's is better to run them dead before you charge them up so they don't develop A short charge. If it's ...

Brent.
This is public easement, To political pressure. Not quality wildlife management. And no I do not believe that they are specifically looking for A major increase in the harvest. But they are trying to re-distribute it to remove the potential for problem cats in the more public areas. And SRD ...

Re: Alberta Lion Changes
Hate to tell you Brent. But that has been my experience with them. Or they would not be implementing these changes. The potential for over harvest with the new plan is..... Well gigantic. Think of any one of the larger of the new CMA's being open on A Thursday without A kill, And only one lion on A ...

Re: Alberta Lion Changes
Ah I see what you were referencing. Really it is not A reluctance to kill Females that is well proven. As virtually all of the border on private land CMA's do close. What they are calling A issue is that not enough of the kills are in the white zone areas of these CMA's. And is kind of A ridiculous ...

Nait???? What the heck are you talkin about?? Think you responded to A different thread. Chilcotin.. On the surface it is A very bad thing. But new head man in SRD so he has his vision and is hell bent on puttin his stamp on it. Some of it ain't all bad. I have no problems with landowners bein able ...

Re: Alberta Lion Changes
Brent. They are planning alot more then that as of the last info I had acquired. Including A "Sink, Stable, Source" separation of the current CMA's. And A revert back to the previous quota system. Also adding some WMU's either to current CMA's Or making new ones in A band across the province North ...

Re: will dogs strike a lion off the truck or a sled ?
Think I did spot one from two miles away.... And really my dogs might rig one... Can't say that they ever had. But it is generally too damn cold for me to leave the box open let alone think of letting one of my poor dogs ride out in the open as I am ranging around in the cold. Have had hunters up ...

Re: "Houndn'ems blueticks" lucky catch.
Congrats. Always seems that when I have my dogs figgered out as to who can do what for me. Some pup decides it's the day to grub one out. And for me... I would rather be lucky then good any day. So will take what I can get. And not hold it against them when they stand on their heads once in awhile ...

Re: Marking tracks?
As always. Everyone got their panties firmly wedged.... LMAO. Amazing how it brings the kid out in everyone. Oh as far as A opinion.. If we are "reserving" A track to run. there is A truck sitting on or awful close to it. Other then that. You can follow me all day long if ya like. Train your dogs to ...

Re: You Might Not Believe This One...
Is A consistent theme... And it does take A few that don't have A axe to grind to point out the obvious. Simple things. Some are great story teller's. Some are great hunters. Some have the gift of both. But none make A reputation as A hunter, By only being A great story teller. And if you are trying ...
