Diarrhea and stiff and shaking after first run
Have a dog truck to tree/bay 3 year old Black and Tan turned him lose only ran 1.16 miles (GPS) an quit. Loaded an unloaded himself at home. Went to check on him an hour later has yellowish clear diarrhea also fluid leaking from penis. Mouth locked shut body limp acts paralyzed can't stand will swallow if water is poured down his throat help please. This was the first run of the year

If he's still alive he should be taken to a veterinarian immediately .Even if we could diagnose it the dog will most likely need professional help to survive!

vet says heat stroke or majorly overheated she has more test to run. standing walking alittle throwing up the water he drinks and passing blood now.

Never had any pass blood from heat stroke. JMO

id never heard from it either vet hasn't called me back yet. can the dog get over a heat stroke to hunt again or is he just goin to be a riding buddy from now on? ill never get tired of this 1 he's a born natural.

I'm not a veterinarian but the symptoms you described sure didn't sound like heat stroke.If they stick with that diagnosis i'd get a second opinion .People that recover from heat stroke usually have some side effects from it so it might be the same for animals.

Jus buried him anyurism to the brain.... This one hits hard to home. Been bear huntin since I was 8 with family an friends this is only my 7th year with my own dogs an he jus took alot away from my small pack

Sorry to hear that . I know this is no consulation but those of us who have been hunting for years have been through that and some have several times. Sorry for your loss.The good ones are hard to replace.
