long range antennas

looking to see what is a good long range antenna for you dc 40 collars? do you really see a night and day difference in them? and if so what makes good ones good and okay ones okay?

The stock DC40 antenna's were known for breaking easily and cause range issues. I would upgrade to any antenna over the Stock one, The Aftermarket antennas are mostly the same, most are galvanized, we try to use a stainless steel on ours. Or you can buy a DC50 Garmin antenna and put it on as well.

But any aftermarket antenna will be better than your stock one since those DC40 antenna's break in the middle.

That was one of the reasons Garmin changed antennas for the DC50's and TT10's.
