treeing walker breeding

Postby blackandtanman32 » Sun Sep 14, 2014 12:08 am

I have 2 nance bred walkers and they are about 6 months old but they are very small to me. they weigh about 20 pounds each. The breeder told me that they are very small because they are very close line bred dogs. Does this happen? Because they are about the size of a full grown beagle. Just seems small to me. Thanks Jim.

If they're only 6 mos old they'll probably gain another 10 to 20 lbs which isn't to bad.How big are the parents? I have heard that continuous linebreeding will lead to smaller dogs.I believe that to be true but would have to do more research to be sure.
