Does anybody have any news on the Memorial weekend Field Trial/Swim Race?

the Modesto Houndsmen memorial field trials will be held at 5556 Hornitos rd, Cathys valley, ca friday , may 27 - monday may 30

start qualifing at 8:00 am $1200 final , swim& drag race entry fee $10 per dog , gate fee $3

beautiful camping area available , from hwy99 take hwy 140 east to cathys valley, turn on to hornitos road , aprox 4 miles down on the right just follow the signs

How are you going to be qualifying the dogs for the field trial? and are the water race's and the field trial going to be running at the same time?

Can you discribe the venue for the field trials. Never been to a houndsmen field trials. Got a young prospect for the upcoming season. Very smart already start trailing a drag.

Good turn out , good races and good peolple working hard to put on these races, about 100 dogs ran in the water races and 100 in the field trial, had a little rain but not enough to mess thing up, those that didn't go missed out.

Thanks to the Modesto Houndsman group for putting on a fun event. My wife and I had a great time camping and being around the dogs. I look forward to going next year. My little cur even came in during the semi's, at the end of the pack but she had fun none the less. Lots of fun action overall.

Is this race happening again this year?

Yes it will be memorial weekend may 26,27,28 at the same location as last year

Is it all day Saturday, then finals on Sunday? Or how is it going to work?
Memorial weekend is a hard one for me to make...

qualifiers and semi-finals for the drag races and the water races will be on Saturday, the finals and the raffle will be on Sunday

How are you guys doing your qualifyers? how long are they? and how many will you qualify at a time?
