APR 25TH - UKC RQE Bench Show, deadline 3pm, $15. Field Trial and Water Race, deadline 3pm, $10. Qualifying Mini-Slam Nite Hunt, deadline 8pm, $20.

MAY 16TH - UKC Bench Show, deadline 3pm, $15. Field Trial and Water Race, deadline 3pm, $10. Mini-Slam Nite Hunt, deadline 8pm, $20.

These are for UKC Registered Coonhounds only. No unprescribed drugs or alcohol on the grounds. Mini-Slam hunts are run by NITECH rules (Reg, NiteCh and GrNiteCh all hunt together, dogs are SCRATCHED for any off game) Cast winners recieve a money prize. Spectators welcome.

I got quite the surprise from UKC today. I received our April Events packet and our April Show and Hunt are an RQE/Qualifying Slam. I didn't ask for an RQE this year, but looks like they automatically renew them every year... So get them dogs in shape, and hopefully we will get a few entries and some volunteers to guide. As it is the club has NO current places to guide between our 3 officers.

I'd also like to hold elections at the April or May event. I (Cassandra) currently hold two positions Pres/Tres, after resignation from the Treasurer. So I am myself resigning as President, but would be willing to continue on as Treasurer. We need officers, we need help. The last 3 years everything has landed solely on me, and honestly, I am going to take a step back. That said, if anyone wants UKC Coonhound events in CA in the future (ie next year), now is the time to step up.
