Hey those are awesome. Thanks for sharing them. They don’t climb trees?

I heard some sounds like our racoons, which also will take a dog in water.

No they won't, this time a year they're just fat and slow. :D But when the season starts raccoondog is skinny and sometimes takes pretty much work from hound to catch.

I think none of us probably know anything of your raccoondog, I looked it up just to see what it was after you 1st posted on the sight. I notice your hound only bays the animal and doesnt go in for a kill. Is this normal I'm running that animal? Are the vicious fighters? Just curious to see a dog baying him and not grabbing him. Or do they learn quickly grabbing a live one is a mistake?

raccoondogs are very easy for the dog, they might bite from a hounds lip but that's all.
I think it's better not to grab until it's been shot beacuse racoondogs act dead. I know many hounds that grab and shake and they think it's dead, then leave. Soon the "dead" just gets up and run..
Also i hope the hound act the same when baying badger or a cat. Saves a lot in vet
costs.
