Issues on track

I got a year and a half old bluetick and he'll follow the track and then he'll loose it at the tree or will loose it in general any help will be appreciated

If he is leaving it at the tree thats a different issue from quiting a track or not being confident enough to keep working it. Figure out which issue it is. Try daytime hunting for awhile and stay close enough to observe the dog

Not all young hounds will grab a track and run it hard right into the tree the first few times in the woods, but if he's got it in him keep hunting and it will come out. Pwilson was right on laying a drag. If I lay a drag for a pup then I rub the dead coon up and down the tree and then I place the coon in a different tree out of sight but not far away from the tree you rub the sent on.
