Bobcat Dog by Dave Peightal
Re: Bobcat Dog by Dave Peightal
I couldn't put it down, it is now one of my most prized books in my collection.
Re: Bobcat Dog by Dave Peightal
Does anyone know if this book is ever going to be reprinted? Thanks.
Re: Bobcat Dog by Dave Peightal
I have been thinking hard on it.
People keep guilt tripping me about it.
There are several problems.
If I knew exactly how many people wanted one I would do it. My biggest fear is getting stuck with boxes of books to move all over tarnation for the rest of my life. I wouldn’t move them. I would burn them. But I don’t like that thought either.
Any way. There is a chance more will be made. It’s not a promise. But it’s a serious thought.
It strikes me as silly because there is more information on here than is in the book.
Thank you for asking though.

David,
Thanks for the quick answer and you can put me down for a couple if you ever decide to publish again.

David,
If you decide to do a reprint I will buy at least one, I have a friend I would like to give one to. Might buy 2 depending on my finances when you to the reprint.
Thanks
Bill

Re: Bobcat Dog by Dave Peightal
I would sure buy one Dave. sorry I missed this before, bobcat hunting has always been a fascination for me.
I was lucky early on in my hunting life to get to know a couple of what I would call really good successful bobcat hunters, and now as the years have passed I am still trying to analyze just what they did and how they selected the dogs they used to become so consistently successful. One thing I do know after spending so many years myself in the pursuit of the longtails, is these guys were obsessed with bobcats. You could talk lions and bear and whatever and before long they always brought the conversation full circle back to the bobbers.

Yes David please reprint. I dont think I payed for either of my 2 copies you gave me. The original or the revised one, I gave one copy away to Mr Cecil Boggs, and my original copy is worn out bc I like the way you write! Since I gave mine to Cecil I think you owe me. Lol. In all honesty I'd buy one if for sale. The money could go in your retirement fund! So here's some more peer pressure!

You are probably right Perk, since you wrote part of the book. I probably owe you another one.
Thanks guys. This might be a good place for me to get a number in mind. So if you want to vote, this is the polling place.
The way it works is they will print one single book for me if I want to pay a price per book of, Oh I don’t know, somewhere between $800 and $5,000 per book. Then the price per book calibrates down by numbers of books ordered. And there are cut off points for the price breaks. I really don’t remember how it goes since I can’t even remember if yesterday existed. But I am guessing at eight books we are well below $1,000 per book.
So it’s a good start.
I wish there was a way to do a secret ballot, and there probably is. But if you are not afraid to come out of the closet, let me know here if you would want a book.
This is not an order, it is a vote, and an estimate for me to get an idea.
You will have to order later if we go ahead with it.
Thanks guys
Mike, I’ll trade you one of my books for one of yours!!!

David, I'd buy multiple to give as gifts as well as 1 for myself.
So let's say I'd be in for at least 3.

Put me down for four copies. This should really go on FB where the big traffic is. There are a lot more people interested than come here.

David, I know you've said there is more information on here, but I get tired of reading a phone. I'm in on the book.
