Wood dog houses, stain, and rubber coating
Folks, Here is a couple of things working on wood dog houses, for me. On the inside, go to walmart or farm store, and get a can of Rubberized undercoating for a vehicle. Its 4 bucks, use the can on the floor and sides of the interior. Really helps the rotting of the floor, especially during the winter months of dragging snow in and out, and also any chewing, I spray the bottom half. Second, instead of painting, I discovered, a mix of 3 parts on road diesel fuel, to one part, drain oil, makes an excellent outside sealer, and also they dont chew the wood, and they look good to. I put it in a pump stain can, used for stain, and bingo, couple of minutes done. Let it dry outside for a week or so, before you put a dog on it, both is giving a lot longer life to a dog house.
